AATSP & Xperitas Sign MOU

AATSP ANNOUNCES
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WITH XPERITAS

The AATSP and Xperitas have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the pursuit of supporting Spanish and Portuguese language teachers and students to engage in authentic intercultural learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom to create truly global citizens whose actions reflect an understanding of multiple perspectives and common humanity. With this MOU, the AATSP and Xperitas confirm mutually agreeable collaboration in the development of opportunities for teachers. Collaborations can be developed at the national level and with local AATSP chapters to support teachers and students via awards, sponsorships, co-sponsored events. 

Xperitas is nonprofit organization that works with language teachers to plan language and cultural immersion programs abroad to a variety of countries in Europe and Latin America. Founded by language teachers over fifty years ago, they have been providing teachers and students with transformational educational experiences. Their philosophy is to give students a connected experience within a culture, community, and family other than their own outside of the classroom to develop world language skills and inspire greater cultural awareness through positive relationships with others.
