AATSP and Idioma Education & Consulting Sign MOU

AATSP ANNOUNCES
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
WITH IDIOMA EDUCATION & CONSULTING

The AATSP and Idioma Education & Consulting, LLC have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the pursuit of expanding access to high-quality, affordable professional development and graduate-level courses to Spanish- and Portuguese-language educators across the US. With this MOU, we confirm mutually agreeable collaboration in the development of activities and projects that grant greater global projection to initiatives for the teaching and learning of Spanish and Portuguese which can be beneficial for teachers, learners, and researchers. 

Idioma Education & Consulting, LLC was founded in 2015 by a team of world language educators. Their courses, workshops, and coaching sessions integrate the latest research, strategies, and best practices for the teaching of world languages. Through several accredited university partnerships and state programs, teachers can earn professional development hours, graduate-level credits for salary advancement and licensure or even apply coursework towards a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with a World Language Emphasis. Currently, Idioma Education includes Portuguese, Spanish, and several other world languages as well as methodology and pedagogy. 

Idioma Education would like to offer awards and/or discounts to qualifying AATSP members to defray the cost of Idioma professional development and graduate-level courses and on-site/virtual workshops and coaching sessions, in addition to subsidizing educational travel and/or AATSP conference attendance.
