AATSP Announces 2021 Teacher of the Year Award Recipients

The American Association of Teachers and Portuguese is pleased to announce the 2021 Teacher of the Year Award Recipients. 

• Elementary (K-8) Category: Jessica Burns, The Weiss School, Palm Beach Gardens, FL
• Secondary (9-12) Category: Lisa Stone, Sevier County High School, Sevierville, TN
• 2-year College Category: Stacy Amling, Des Moines Community College, Des Moines, IA
• 4-year College/University Category: John Maddox, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL

The AATSP Teacher of the Year Awards are bestowed each year to recognize the achievements of AATSP members across all teaching levels. All of this year’s awardees were recognized formally during the Awards Ceremony at the 103^rd AATSP Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on July 9, 2021.
