Spanish and Portuguese Review Names Incoming Interim Editor

Stacey Margarita Johnson, Vanderbilt University, will be the next Editor of the Spanish and Portuguese Review. Her term will begin in 2019.
Dr. Stacey M. Johnson holds appointments at Vanderbilt University as Assistant Director at the Center
for Teaching, Senior Lecturer of Spanish in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Affiliated Faculty in the Center for Second Language Studies, and Adjunct Faculty in Peabody College’s English Language Learners program. Stacey’s publications include
the volume Adult learning in the language classroom. Bristol, Multilingual Matters (Bristol, UK, 2015) along with other chapters and peer-reviewed articles. In addition to her experience as a reviewer or editorial board member for several
journals including Hispania, she has also served as a production editor on the IALLT (International Association for Language Learning Technology) publications team and as co-editor of the 2018 issue of Dimension, the academic journal of SCOLT
(Southern Conference on Language Teaching). Stacey is also the producer and host of We Teach Languages, a weekly podcast about language teaching, and the founding chair of the ACTFL (American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Critical
and Social Justice Approaches Special Interest Group. With her publication and editorial experience alongside her commitment to providing professional development opportunities for graduate students and early career professionals, Stacey looks forward
to working with the SPR (Spanish and Portuguese Review) team to advance the mission of the AATSP.
