If you speak Spanish, Portuguese is easy. This workshop is designed for Spanish teachers who want to be “Luso-Allies.” It means learning a little Portuguese language and discovering the Portuguese-speaking world. First, hear an overview of why Portuguese is needed in US language departments. Hear about the shared cultures of the Hispanophone and Lusophone worlds. The instructor will present resources for further study and share contact information—you can start an online conversation group!
