Graduate Student Day Competition The 103rd AATSP Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia featured the inaugural Graduate Student Day Competition (GSDC). 2023 Graduate Student Day Competition Congratulations to Fernando Lesniak of the University of Minnesota on winning this year’s Graduate Student Day Competition for his paper, “Language Instructors’ Attitudes Toward Gender-Inclusive Language.”
Two participants received an honorable mention: Erik Garabaya Casado, Universidad de Oviedo, for his presentation, “La enseñanza del español de herencia en universidades de Estados Unidos: Análisis del estado actual mediante un estudio descriptivo mixto de programas académicos,” and Rachel West, University of Virginia, for her presentation, “Global Borges: The Borgesian Archive and Global Identity in Carlos Fonseca's Coronel Lágrimas.”
