CALL FOR PAPERS

Vernacular: New Connections in Language, Literature, & Culture is a scholarly journal that publishes works by current master’s and doctoral students who specialize in the fields of linguistics, literature, and cultural studies in their respective languages (usually, but not limited to, French, German, or Spanish).

Organized by graduate students in the Department of Modern Foreign
Languages and Literatures (MFLL) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Vernacular is a peer-reviewed journal: submissions are evaluated by peer graduate students from different universities across the country. In addition, Vernacular is backed by an advisory board composed of distinguished professors.
