At this site users can explore by skill or by level, listen to and read samples in English that represent abilities at each of the major proficiency levels. The ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines are a description of what individuals can do with language in terms of speaking, writing, listening, and reading in real-world situations in a spontaneous and non-rehearsed context. They neither describe how an individual learns a language nor prescribe how an individual should learn a language, and they should not be used for such purposes. They are a tool for only evaluating of functional language ability.

The World Digital Library (WDL) is a project of the U.S. Library of Congress, with support of the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO), and in cooperation with libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, and international organizations from around the world. The WDL makes available on the Internet, free of charge and in multilingual format, significant primary materials from all countries and cultures.

This website was developed with the idea of creating a virtual space where anybody can upload their photographs in panoramic format and relate them to the place where they were taken. Many of these shots were taken in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries. Unfortunately, the search function does not work well.
