2012 NSE Scholarships

During the past year, the National Spanish Examination awarded scholarships for teacher study abroad to five AATSP members who administer the National Spanish Examinations. The scholarships totaled $16,425. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must commit to participate in the study abroad program in Spain or Costa Rica for four weeks during the summer. Applicants agree to document their experiences through maintaining a blog to be shared with other AATSP colleagues via the National Spanish Exam website.

The recipients of the teacher study abroad scholarships in Costa Rica are:

 

LeAnn Henderson from Sanger High School in Sanger, CA.

 

Ann E. Loeffler who teaches at R.C. Clark High School in Plano, TX.

 

 

The recipients of the teacher study abroad scholarships in Spain are:

 

Chad Shuttler who teaches in Mount Michael Benedictine School in Elkhorn, NE.



Sandra Tapia who teaches at Chicago City Day School in Chicago, IL.

 

Sarah Widhalm from Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, AZ.
