Domnita and I studied together at USC, but it was only 15 years later, while I was working at PCC where she also taught, that I found out what a scholar and linguist she was. I happened to be looking for some article in the journal of the International Association of Hispanists, and there she was... and again and again. She was always a kind hearted, very reliable colleague. Congratulations.
