I find that grammar is extremely important. I think at first we are able to teach phrases without delving into why they are written that way. However, I know for myself that I was always extremely intrigued as to why the sentence was formatted that way. I think I will spend a lot of time teaching grammar, but I hope that I can do it in a way that engages students.
