Inclusive Practices for the Spanish Classroom
Webinar Description:
This webinar will focus on
how to teach Spanish language and Hispanic culture while simultaneously
incorporating strategies for the inclusion of students who are heritage Spanish
speakers. Participants will be exposed to specific challenges and
strategies to address multiculturalism when working with English-speaking
students and with students of Hispanic cultural backgrounds. Additionally, teachers
of Spanish at all levels (elementary, secondary and college/university) will
learn how to be more culturally inclusive with ALL students through the use of strategies
that support their students’ Hispanic cultural heritages. The presenter will
provide an array of examples ranging
from elementary and secondary instructional materials that are culturally
