2014 Conference Panel of Academic Papers Proposal Form
PANEL OF ACADEMIC PAPERS - 75 minutes
Academic papers present research about a topic related to language, literature, culture or linguistics.
An academic panel lasts 75 minutes and consists of 2-4 academic papers treating a similar theme or topic.
There should be time for questions and discussion after papers have been read.
A chair, selected by the panel members, is responsible for submitting the proposal and all information concerning the panel. During the panel presentation, the chair serves as the moderator for the session.
The chair may also read a paper during the session.
AUDIO VISUAL INFORMATION
Data Projector and Screen. The AATSP will provide a data projector and screen in each conference meeting room where presentations take place; there is no cost to presenters for this equipment. Computers. Each presenter is responsible for providing his/her own computer for the presentation.
Apple Computer Users. In order to connect an Apple computer to a data projector, users must bring the Mini Display Port to VGA Adapter to connect to a standard input. Adapters will not be provided or available.
Internet Access. The AATSP will provide complimentary internet access in each conference meeting room.
A moderator or chair of a panel is responsible for organizing the presenters, serving as the main point of contact with the AATSP for this panel, sharing information regarding the scheduling of the panel with other presenters, and moderating the presentation at the conference.
Chairs may also be presenters in their panel.
