2011 NSE Awards

During the past year, the National Spanish Examination awarded scholarships for teacher study abroad to four AATSP members who administer the National Spanish Examinations. The scholarships totaled $12,120. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must commit to participate in the study abroad program in Spain or Costa Rica for four weeks during the summer. Applicants agree to document their experiences through maintaining a blog to be shared with other AATSP colleagues via the National Spanish Exam website.

The recipients of the teacher study abroad scholarships in Costa Rica are:

 

 

Cathy Chambers from Marist High School in Chicago, IL.

 

Sinde Wickersham who teaches at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, AL.

 

 

The recipients of the teacher study abroad scholarships in Spain are:

 

Elizabeth Brennan who teaches at St. Henry District High School in Erlanger, KY.



Amber Player who teaches at Woodward Academy Upper School in College Park, GA.
