Volunteer leadership and teaching positions in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua

Outreach360, an Arizona based 501-C-3 non-profit organization, has openings for native or near-native Spanish speaking volunteer leaders/ teachers to join the Outreach360 ¡OLÉ! (Outreach - Leadership - Education) Program in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Length of volunteer commitment is one year. Room and board, medical insurance, and round trip airfare from the United States and Canada are provided. We have openings beginning in both January 2013 and June 2013. Applicants must have a college degree, and should have native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish.

Outreach360 has been working in Latin America since 1994. Our mission is to provide opportunities to children in very poor neighborhoods to grow up qualified to attend a university or obtain gainful employment - to live a life of choice.We are currently working with children in 1st through 4th grade. Our focus is on teaching English and Spanish literacy.

Outreach360 is a service-learning based program involving high school teams, college teams, families, and individuals.Since 1994, over 14,000 volunteers have joined Outreach360 in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Over 2000 volunteers join us each year.

The Outreach360 ¡OLÉ! Program is responsible for directing the education program at the Outreach360 Neighborhood Learning Centers. ¡OLÉ! Leaders will be primary teachers at the Learning Centers, and lead shorter term volunteers in providing learning opportunities for the neighborhood children. Professional curricula are used for both the English education and Spanish literacy programs.
