Theory and Second Language Learning Research Working Group Meeting Date: 26-Sep-2013 - 28-Sep-2013 Location: State College, PA, USA Contact Person: Kimberly Buescher Web Site: http://sctresearch.org Linguistic Field(s): Applied Linguistics; Language Acquisition The Sociocultural Theory and Second Language Learning Working Group is
comprised of scholars from all over the world who share a common
interest in sociocultural theory and language learning. Once a year we
come together to discuss our understandings of Vygotsky's works and
their applications to second language learning. This working group
differs from traditional conferences in that the presentation of
completed work is discouraged. Instead we present our works in progress
and expect to receive feedback from our peers.
Meeting Description: We
are pleased to announce that the XXth annual SCT & SLL Research
Working Group Meeting will be co-sponsored by the Center for Language
Acquisition and the Center for Advanced Language Proficiency Education
and Research (CALPER) of The Pennsylvania State University and will be
held at the Days Inn in State College, PA.
