The 21st century with its ongoing migration and globalization trends requires new approaches to teacher training. Our selection of this title aims to address the growing need of training language teachers to address diverse student populations in an increasingly multilingual world.
The mission of this biennial conference is to address the education of teachers of all languages, at all instructional and institutional levels, and in all the many national and international contexts in which this takes place, including: world language teaching; bilingual education; heritage and community language education; immersion education; indigenous and minority language education; English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) instruction; and the teaching of less commonly taught languages.
