The Greater Washington Association of Teachers of Foreign Language (GWATFL) announces its 3rd Annual GWATFL Immersion Day Conference.  There will be sessions and presentations on best practices and opportunities in Spanish, Chinese, and French, and opportunities to network with other world language colleagues.  Bring a laptop or iPad to participate in our hands-on sessions! 

 

Presentations include best practices, technology
& sessions presented in the target language:

  • Using Can-Do Statements for Assessment
  • Literacy and Cross-curricular Connections in Elementary Immersion
  • Engaging Students through Authentic Texts
  • Using ACTFL's Six Core Practices in Planning and Instruction
  • Integrating STEM World Language Classroom

  • Learning Chinese through exploring the art of Chinese Calligraphy
