Ixiktaak: Ancient Maya Women - Annual Tulane Maya K-16 Educator Workshop

New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, LA 


This workshop for K-16 educators will focus on the significance of women in ancient Maya society. The workshop will explore this topic from different disciplinary perspectives, including archaeology, iconography, physical anthropology, and epigraphy. In collaboration with the New Orleans Museum of Art, this workshop will highlight pieces from the current Mesoamerican exhibit. All participants receive lunch and teaching materials.
