Are you interested in learning about education in other countries? Host a Uruguayan educator in your school or school district for two weeks this winter as part of the Visiting Uruguayan Educator Program! This program provides a professional development opportunity for K-12 U.S. and Uruguayan educators to work together on issues of mutual interest to their communities, schools and students.

From February 6 to 20, 2016, Uruguayan educators visit their U.S. counterpart's school to job-shadow and share best practices in teaching strategies/instruction, personnel administration, school systems and management, and develop joint educational projects toward the goal of globalizing schools/classrooms. Funded by the U.S.-Embassy in Uruguay and implemented by American Councils for International Education and the Uruguay Fulbright Commission, this opportunity covers program costs for the Uruguayan educators as well as a small hosting stipend for the U.S. host schools.
The application deadline is December 14, 2015 (extended from original November 30, 2015).
