Babel's Young Writers' Competition

Click here to visit the competition website.

This year, Babel is once more celebrating young linguists' insights about language. Previous articles by young writers Niamh Mulholland and Kateryna Pavliuk have demonstrated the linguistic talents of Babel readers, and so this year we've decided to publish two lucky winners' articles in Issue 13.

Entries must:
- Be no longer than 2,500 words.
- Be written in English.
- Discuss an interesting and accessible topic to do with language.

Please email your entry to editors@babelzine.com with the title ‘16–18 Competition’ or ‘Undergraduate Competition’:
- 16–18 Competition entrants must provide details of their institution and a teacher.
- Undergraduate Competition entrants must submit their entries from their university email address (e.g. a.linguist @ uni.ac.uk) and provide their institution's address.

The deadline for entries is Friday 31st August 2015. Good luck!
