The ICTFL Board and Conference Co-Chairs, Leslie Rathunde and Ellen Ericson, are excitedly planning for this year's 2014 Fall Conference.  Our theme "A Gallery of Strategies:  Touch up your Professional Portrait" has been intentionally designed to help our Illinois language educators prepare for the new PERA Teacher Evaluation system and to add new strategies that effectively move language learners towards greater language proficiency.  Plan to join us October 23-25, 2014 at the Tinley Park Conference Center, Tinley Park, IL.

Thursday, October 23rd, will bring a "Snapshot of TALL-IL 2.0," an all-day workshop on Planning for Learning through Curriculum Design based on ACTFL Standards and text "The Keys to Planning for Learning."

On Friday and Saturday, October 24-25th, our special guest trainers will be Thomas Sauer and Alyssa Villarreal of AdvanceLearning.  Thomas, named a "Global Visionary" by the World Affairs Council, has played a number of key roles including the creation of the ACTFL World Languages 21st Century Skill Map and the TELL Project.
