Working Papers in Language PedagogyVolume 8  is to appear in the autumn/winter of 2014.

We are now calling for papers  for WoPaLP 8 reporting on the findings of either empirical or theoretical research in language pedagogy and applied linguistics.

Submission requirements for research articles:

Publication of a paper at Working Papers in Language Pedagogy – as the name of the volume also suggests – does not exclude the publication of a later version of the paper elsewhere. All papers published in the volume are to go through the review procedure. To facilitate this process, authors should ensure that all submissions are anonymized: author’s name and institutional affiliation should appear on a detachable cover sheet.

Papers will be assessed on the basis of

  • the relevance of the topic,

  • clarity of focus and research questions,

  • the quality and depth of the theoretical background,

  • the research design,

  • the claims put forward based on the analysis,

  • the quality of the presentation (i.e., organization and language use), and

  • the documentation format.

Articles submitted to the volume should normally be between 5000 and 8000 words, and should be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 200 words and five key words. Authors are to include a word count with their submission. Please send an electronic version of your initial submission to the editors (hollo.dorottya@btk.elte.hu and karoly.krisztina@btk.elte.hu), as well as three paper copies to Krisztina Károly at the address in the header.

For more details please consult the WoPaLP Style Sheet.

Submission is continuous, but the latest deadline for Volume 8 is March 30, 2014.
