The Hilton Teacher Treks Program is meant to bring people together and foster greater understanding between the U.S. and other countries. This program allows U.S. primary and secondary level teachers to go abroad for 2-3 weeks to travel or teach, explore and experience culture firsthand during their summer break. The Institute of International Education (IIE) administers the Hilton Worldwide Teacher Treks Program on behalf of Hilton Worldwide.

The inspiration for the Hilton Worldwide Teacher Treks Program originated from Conrad Hilton’s vision of "world peace through international travel and trade.” Sponsored by Hilton Worldwide, The Hilton Teacher Treks Program is meant to bring people together and foster greater understanding between the U.S. and other countries.This program allows U.S. primary and secondary level teachers to go abroad for 2-3 weeks to travel or teach, explore and experience culture firsthand during their summer break. The Institute of International Education (IIE) administers the Hilton Worldwide Teacher Treks Program on behalf of Hilton Worldwide.

As nurturers of future generations of travelers, teachers play an important role in spreading understanding of other cultures and can have a profound impact on their students' lives. Whether analyzing a historic work of art or telling a riveting account of an ancient civilization, teachers are the ultimate conduits to cultural enlightenment. This program allows teachers to see the world and bring their experiences back to the classroom.
