AATSP CFP: SAMLA 2014

The American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) Affiliated Group for SAMLA seeks papers on the 2014 SAMLA conference’s theme: "Sustainability and the Humanities.” We are broadly defining texts to include papers dealing with the application of the humanities to the human environment and to contemporary life, with particular attention to race, class, gender, and sexuality, as well as to diverse peoples and traditions. Papers dealing specifically with pedagogical approaches at all levels in Spanish and Portuguese language and literature courses will be given preference.
Abstract submissions should not exceed 250 words. SAMLA’s dates: November 7-9, 2014 at the Marriott Atlanta Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center, Atlanta, Georgia.
For more information and for abstract submissions contact Marianne Mason at mmason@westga.edu.
Deadline: May 15, 2014. Authors of selected abstract submissions will be notified by mid June, 2014.
