Technology for World Languages Seminar, at Sweet Briar College, Virginia, June 27-July 1, 2011

This 40-hour seminar is designed for World Language teachers (regardless of technical background) who would like more ideas and more time to integrate technology into their classroom in a way that helps them go further in their curriculum. Novice tech integrators will get patient, step by step guidance and gain confidence and skills. Intermediate and more experienced tech integrators will pick up the technology tools quickly and will be provided time and ideas to go further with the tools. Technology based assessment options will also be explored as well as how technology can be seamlessly used for daily instruction. Led by Nathan Hammond, a technology consultant and high school teacher of German, who has a breadth of experience with instructional technology.

Cost: $550 (cost includes seminar fees, room and board [3 meals], in a dorm room) plus a $50 non-refundable registration fee. The $50 fee is due with the application. The balance will be billed in May. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the seminar site.

Three graduate credits also available at an additional cost.

Application deadline: May 15, 2011.
