AATSP conference attendees are receiving the special AATSP discounted group rate which includes many extras. You will be taken to the hotel's reservation system.

The AATSP single/double guest room rate is $129 per night and includes in-room internet access. 

Please note that the AATSP room block has SOLD OUT. Rooms are still available at the conference hotel at non-conference rates.

Other fees and taxes: In addition to the rates set forth, there will be a daily resort fee of 14% per room, per night, plus a government tax of 11%. (Fees and taxes are subject to change without notice according to government regulations)

Extend your stay in Puerto Rico at the special, discounted, AATSP group rate before and after the conference. The AATSP group rate is available from July 4 - 13, 2012 contingent on room availability.

Conference Registration includes:

  • All 30- and 75-minute sessions
  • Open receptions
  • Admission to the Awards Banquet (exceptions: Student and Lifetime members)
  • Admission to the Exhibit Hall and refreshment breaks
  • Admission to the President's Welcome Reception
  • Author sessions


Awards Banquet: The Awards Dinner Banquet will take place the evening of Monday, July 9, 2012. In order to have an accurate meal count, we ask that you please select the Awards Banquet "optional ticket" item below if you plan to attend the Banquet. You will be able to indicate a regular or vegetarian meal on the next page.

  • Members and Non-members: The Awards Banquet is included in the conference registration fee. Please select the item below in the "optional ticket" area so we can create an accurate meal count.

  • Student members and Life members: Must purchase an Awards Banquet ticket if they would like to attend the Awards Banquet. Tickets for Student members and Life members are $75 each.

  • Guests: May purchase Awards Banquet tickets for $75 each and attend the Awards Banquet with an AATSP Member.

Workshops: $30

In addition to the regular conference sessions that are included in your registration fee, the 2012 AATSP conference program offers optional workshops either three or six hours in length. Workshops are chosen to provide participants with an interactive and in-depth exploration of a specific topic related to the teaching of language, culture, or literature. Workshops are special events and require conference registration and a separate fee to attend. Participants may attend only those workshops for which they have paid and registered.

 

Excursions: Prices vary

Excursions are designed especially for AATSP conference attendees. Each excursion is intended to have a historical and cultural as well as pedagogical value. Regular Conference sessions and events have not been scheduled during these excursions. So that you may enjoy the full experience designed for you. Excursions are special events and require conference registration and a separate fee to attend. These excursions are optional and there is no obligation for conference attendees to participate. Space is limited. Pre-registration for excursions is required. You may purchase excursions tickets f/or yourself as a conference attendee during the registration process. Bringing a guest? Purchase Guest Excursion Tickets separately.


Cancellation and Refund Policy

All registration changes and refund requests must be made in writing no later than May 15, 2012 via e-mail (to rmiller@aatsp.org) or US Postal Service (900 Ladd Road, Walled Lake, MI 48390) postmarked by May 15, 2012. No refunds will be granted after May 15, 2012. All refund requests will be subject to a $50 processing fee. All refunds will be processed after the conference. Please allow 8 weeks for processing.


Payment

We accept credit card (VISA and MasterCard) payments online. We do not accept purchase orders or checks.


Audio Visual Requests

If you are a presenter or co-presenter, you have the option to reserve and purchase additional Audio/Visual (A/V) items below. If you need any of these items, you must reserve and purchase your items during the registration process. The AATSP is underwriting the cost of the LCD data projectors, screens and other items.

  • All meeting rooms are equipped with a data (LCD) projector and screen, at no charge to presenters.
  • Availability of additional AV items, those not underwritten by the AATSP, are not guaranteed unless reserved online by June 10, 2012.

Availability of AV Equipment requested on site in Puerto Rico is not guaranteed.
